Abstract:
This project examines the issue of homelessness, focusing on social networks and the role of urban space in shaping the life strategies of homeless individuals and their conceptualization of “home.” The research is based on fieldwork utilizing both quantitative and qualitative approaches and will take place in two locations: Plzeň and Rumburk.
The collected data will reveal the sociodemographic structure of the target population, identify trajectories and transformative practices employed by homeless individuals in relation to urban space, and clarify the morphological and interactional characteristics of their social networks. These findings will be compared at the levels of a city and a small town.
