Abstract:

The goal of the project is to develop a methodology for estimating fertility and natural population growth based on the proportions of deceased individuals in two age groups. This methodology will be suitable for analyzing small skeletal assemblages and will be applied to study changes in fertility and natural population growth in Central Europe from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages.
